SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR @ HAMDARD PUBLIC SCHOOL

The Scholastic Book Fair 2017 was  organized in the premises of Hamdard Public School, Talimabad Campus. Displayed more than 500 titles of various genres: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Science, Space, Art & Craft, Dictionaries, Yearbooks, etc. along with a many  activity box, the fair has filled a great enthusiasm among students.

The books titled ‘NO TOUCH’ by J. Krishna and ‘SCHOLASTIC YEAR BOOK 2018’ were the highlights of the book fair.

The Fair has been ended on the day of  Parent-Teachers Meeting (PTM) which provides an opportunity for the parents as well to get a glimpse of the book world. Students filled with a zest and zeal purchased the books along with their parents.

It was really an excellent learning experience  for all who becomes the part of the fair.

The 23rd Delhi Book Fair 2017 @ Pragati Maidan (26 Aug – 3rd Sep 2017)

Here comes, the 23rd edition of Delhi Book Fair commencing from 26 August 2017 till 3rd September 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The fair is organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation and in association with Federation of Indian Publishers.

Book Fairs have a great role to play in promoting the reading habit among people of all age groups. Delhi Book Fair is playing a pivotal role in reiterating the might of the pen and the printed world and has come to be recognized as the biggest book bonanza keenly awaited by students, teachers, scholars, authors, intellectuals, librarians and book lovers. Apart from promoting literacy and reading habit, especially among children and youth, the fair presents a vast panorama of Indian books on a wide range of subject. The fair provides a unique platform for business to business transactions, establishing new contacts, entering into co-publishing arrangements, translation and copy right arrangements, reprinting of old and rare books, apart from providing retailing opportunities as a multitude of visitors to the fair.

A number of Conferences and Seminars, buyer-seller meets, book releases, book discussions, literary activities for children and meet-the-author will be organized during the Fair. The fair is also complemented by the Stationery/Office Automation and Corporate Gifts Fair held concurrently with its product profile.

Book Fair organised by Hamdard Public School

An informative Book Fair has been organised by Hamdard Public School Library with the collaboration of Scholastics India Inc. The 4-days Book Fair program, commenced  from 8th Feb 2016 has been inaugurated by the respected principal Mrs. Zakia Majid Siddiqui and well supervised by the senior librarian.
Nearly 650 tittles related to fiction, nonfiction, illustrative books and biographies, subjective books, reference books as well as storybooks were displayed in a very elegant manner. Active participation of students from Classes I to XII is really appreciable. The arduous efforts of primary librarian Mrs Shabana Siddiqui were applauded by the senior librarian, teachers and parents.
The fair came to an end on 11th Feb 2016 with the Parent-Teachers Meeting.

New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) held for the past 41 years, is now a major calendar event in the publishing world. NDWBF 2015 is scheduled from14 to 22 February 2015 at the centrally located Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The Fair is organized by National Book Trust, India, an apex body of the Government of India, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

20th Delhi Book Fair 2014 (23rd – 31st August 2014)

Delhi Book Fair has established itself as a gateway to the Indian book publishing industry. An eagerly awaited exposition, it offers a sales forum and a meeting place for publishers, booksellers authors, translators and book-lovers of all age group.

Book Fairs, Festivals and Exhibitions are one of the means to promote books and book reading habit among individuals. Delhi Book Fair, since 1995, has established itself as an annual cultural event in the history of Delhi and showcases the progress made by Indian Publishing Industry over the years. The 20th edition of Delhi Book Fair is scheduled between August 23 – 31, 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Books are important and rather indispensable source of preservation and dissemination of knowledge and are also the simplest, readily accessible and most inexpensive means by which knowledge can be spread in any civilized society.

The last edition of the Delhi Book Fair attracted over three lakhs visitors from India and overseas. The ever increasing numbers of visitors and exhibitors speaks volumes of its success
