An educational trip to the National Science Centre

Hamdard Public School organised an educational trip to the National Science Centre, New Delhi for their students of class 5 along with the teachers and a supporting staff on 07.09.2017 (Thursday).

The National Science Centre showed a warm welcome to all and interestingly presented various curriculum based programs to the students through their projection technology.

Students and teachers visited the prehistoric life gallery. 35 species of life forms of different ages such as gigantic dinosaurs, early birds, giant scorpions and other living creatures were exhibited in the gallery using artificially created matching ambience through special light and sound effects.

The exhibition prompted the kids to answer several mind boggling questions as how life originated on our planet? Where did it evolve? Who were our ancestors? And so on.

In addition to this, the Centre also displayed curriculum linked sphere show on the planets and natural satellite in the solar system. A six feet diameter sphere-a giant digital globe attracted students’ attention to the animation, graphics and images on planetary data. Designed programs were aimed at creating and enhancing scientific awareness while at the same time imparting scientific education in an interesting way.

Little Hands at Artistic Work !

If art is an expression of life, the exhibition of art and craft in the Primary Wing gave plenty of curious insights into the minds and lives of students . They played with colours, smeared the corridors with a spectrum of colours and gave vent to their imagination. The young artists of the Primary Wing poured out their creativity and talent at the exhibition held at the school on Saturday, 22nd October’16.

Our young talent was given a platform to create their own piece of artwork giving them a sense of achievement and also giving them the opportunity of appreciating other’s artwork.

Deeply immersed in their own creative world, the little ones animatedly described their works to the visitors. The students’ hard work seemed to have paid off rather well as everybody was visibly impressed by it. The beautiful warli paintings, creating best out of waste, pot making, tile painting and craft work left the spectators mesmerized.
