Hamdard Public School celebrated the Independence Day with the great zest and zeal. The occasion was graced by Mr. Syed Samar Hamid, Secretary, HES along with the school Principal Mr Zubair Ahmed Khan and the primary wing headmistress.
The program began with the flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem. It was heartening to see our young kids put forth a concentrated effort with as much energy and get-up-and-go to the Independence Day festivities as in different celebrations. Their enthusiasm in the school decoration and their participation in the cultural activities on the 72nd Independence Day uncovered their excitement.
Little tots of Block I and II presented a beautifully recited poem. The rendition of patriotic songs by the choir left everyone spellbound. The students of the Primary Wing dressed up as numerous freedom fighters of India, paid homage to their efforts and courage. Class 5 boys enthralled the audience with their special performance on the Indian Army soldiers, receiving much deserved applause from Mr. Syed Samar Hamid, who, in his speech, urged today’s generation to value the freedom we have secured after the sacrifices of many. Sir also commended the teachers who prepared the students and the audience for their patience and discipline. The programme did evoke a feeling of patriotism in all present there.
